Tables are key to any comparison, educational, or affiliate website.

They allow readers to make quicker, more informed decisions when buying a product, along with clear calls to action.

In fact, in an AuthorityHacker and Convertica Case studyimproving existing tables led to a 13% increase in CTR toward affiliate offers.

Imagine the increase going from no tables to tables would bring…

So it’s clear well constructed comparison tables are key to promoting affiliate offers.

You could create an HTML template, add some custom CSS, and paste away.

Or…

You could try one of these awesome little to no code, SEO friendly WordPress Affiliate table plugins, saving yourself tons of time and frustration.

On top of that, we’ll also the list the MUSTs of any affiliate comparison table (backed by actual data), allowing you to get the most out of your next affiliate table plugin.

Our favorites are:

Best WordPress Table Plugins

GetLasso

Despite being known mostly as a widget plugin for affiliate boxes, Lasso has improved its table feature in the past year. That’s why we’ve bumped it off from third to first place as of 2024.

They also have tons of other useful features for affiliate marketers like link cloaking, tracking, insertion, and more. Their Amazon integration is super easy to use, and just requires an API Key from Amazon. After that, you can nearly automatically generate product boxes with all the most accurate information about any Amazon product.

The amount of code needed to use and make Lasso’s is so low, making it super user-friendly for someone non-technical or a VA. All you need to do is paste in a shortcode inside your content wherever appropriate.

Lasso Table and CTA Design

Lasso widgets look great. I particularly like their CTA’s but their tables are also quite well designed. Here’s an example:

As with other Lasso widgets, the focus in on getting users to click. There are loads of button options, big images, the option to add stars, etc.
However, if you’re looking for a more info-heavy table design, Lasso might not be for you.

The CTAs are the real stars of the show, in my opinion. They have this wirecutter feel that gives a great boost of credibility to your website. They have many themes to choose from, including the “cutter” theme which is cleary inspired by wirecutter’s legendary CTA boxes:

Lasso Analytics

Another differentiating point from competitors is Lasso’s link analytics. These can be found within the lasso site dashboard and on Google Analytics.

I personally preferred the event tracking before GA4, as I’m sure many of you did, but the event tracking capabilities that come out of the box with Lasso still work great with GA4.

You can check which links are getting the most clicks on your site and optimize around that. I also recommend checking that the top-performing links are working and not out of stock at least once a month.

Other Lasso Features

One of the coolest features that Lasso offers is its “opportunities” tab. Here, you’ll find a list of affiliate programs for brands that you are already mentioning in your content but have not yet monetized.

If your site has a large number of articles and visitors, this feature can generate significant revenue.

Lasso also automatically detects out-of-stock and broken affiliate links.

Finally, even though I haven’t personally tried this featured, its migration tools from, for example, the amazon sitestrip, look really useful if you need to migrate your site from another affiliate link tracking software.

Lasso Pricing

Their pricing is a bit higher than some of the other options on the list, coming in at $24/m when billed annualy. Compared to other options on the list, it’s definitely more pricey, but thats likely due to a lot of their more technical features that we mentioned.

Lasso provides a 14 day trial where you can try it out before committing. Once you are signed up, install the plugin on a WordPress site, and start creating!

Overall, this has been my go-to affiliate table plugin for the past 3 years or so. They keep improving the product, and I’m really looking forward to see what the future holds for Lasso.

AAWP

Amazon Affiliate WordPress Plugin (AAWP), is the WordPress Table plugin I’ve used on past affiliate sites, and have mostly good things to say about it.

While the plugin definitely caters toward Amazon’s affiliate program, it isn’t exclusively for Amazon. Anything can go inside the tables, as long as you have some basic HTML/CSS knowledge. It takes a lot of work to get non-Amazon products into tables, so it was often times frustrating or not worth it.

If you’re listing Amazon products however, their integration is super easy to use, and uses APIs to pull all item data in real time from Amazon. Considering outdated pricing information is one of the most common ways people get banned from Amazon, this can be really useful.

Installation of the plugin was pretty easy, and just required the upload of a file, and the connection of a software key to start working. When it comes to actually using the plugin, you create the tables inside the WordPress dashboard, and paste them inside your WordPress post via shortcodes.

AAWP Pricing

Pricing of the plugin is pretty reasonable with price per site decreasing as your plan increases. Keep in mind the price shown below is for a YEAR, so the smallest plan starts at just over $4/m. In the event you don’t like the plugin, there’s a 30 day no questions asked money back guarantee.

Affiliatable

I’ve never used Affiliatable, so a friend James from MonetizedFuture.com helped me out on this one. Here’s what he had to say.

At some point in time, I’ve used most of the major affiliate table plugins. Currently, my favorite solution for building beautiful mobile-responsive tables and product boxes for my sites is Affiliatable.

With Affiliatable you can build comparison tables, top 3 boxes, rating boxes, product boxes, pros/cons Boxes, and more!

Affiliatable is different from the other players in the space as it is not a WordPress plugin but rather a SaaS product.

After you’ve placed the services code in the header of your website, just log in, build a table and add the HTML code to your post. While the plugin does generate code for you, it does not support shortcodes, which could be an issue for some.

I solve this by using the shortcode plugin, and pasting the Affiliatable code in that way.

Affiliatable has a built-in Amazon Product Advertising API integration, but often I am promoting products from merchants other than Amazon, so in order to keep a uniform look to my site, I need a solution that can work with any affiliate partner. Affiliatable fills that need perfectly.

Another useful feature is the ability to add a second CTA button to your comparison tables and boxes. This is great for products where you want to offer the option to buy somewhere other than Amazon, but still want to capture some of that sweet Amazon conversion rate as well.

Affiliatable Pricing

If you have multiple sites where you are promoting affiliate products, Affiliatable is one of the easiest and most cost-effective options you can choose. They do have a free version available, which can be a good option for those just starting out.

I personally am not a fan of the “Free Layouts” Affiliatable has to offer, which is why I’d definitely recommend paying for a premium version. Many of the premium layouts have higher CTR features, like room for Pro’s and Con’s, review stars, and more.

NinjaTables

Next up, is NinjaTables. NinjaTable is a super popular WordPress Table plugin, and is super easy to add to any site. You can even try a free lite version before committing to a plan. They don’t have an Amazon integration, if thats what you’re looking for in a plugin.

They have shortcode support making it easy to place on several pages.

NinjaTables Pricing

Above is NinjaTables pricing, as you can see they offer annual and lifetime plans. Most annual plans break even with the lifetime option after 3-4 years. It’s hard to say if you’ll still be using their plugin in that long, but you will know that better than us! They actually do have a free plan, but is very bare with the features it allows.

WP Table Builder

WP Table Builder is another popular WordPress option that uses drag and drop technology to create tables. Similar to some other options on the list, little to no code is involved with the plugin due to WordPress’s UI. Pricing tables and comparisons can be created inside WordPress, or generated via CSV file upload.

After initially installing WP Table Builder, I found their UI and table building process to be a bit confusing.  But after a few minutes of using it you’ll get the hang go it. Once you’ve created the table in their back end, you can paste it onto a blog post via shortcode.

TablePress

TablePress made the list as its the only free, and open source option on the list. It’s certainly not the most sexy option, but it gets the job done. In fact, it was the first WordPress table plugin I ever used, before making the switch to AAWP.

Due to it being open source, it’s also likely the most secure option on our list. They support the import and export of data via CSV, HTML, and JSON. Tables on TablePress are able to support all types of data, and has some pretty awesome features like live sort, pagination, and more. As you’d expect, you can insert the tabled with a shortcode embed.

The plugin is run by an Independent developer Tobias Bäthge, who only profits from donations by his generous users. This is likely why the plugin isn’t updated super often, at around 1 time per year.

You can view a live demo of the plugin here. It’s definitely pretty bare compared to other options on the list, but hey, it’s a free no-code plugin. Any further customization or styling will have to come via custom CSS.

wpDataTables

Next up, is the wpDataTables plugin. For many of you, this plugin might be a bit overkill, as it specializes in advanced data visualization. This definitely has a use case for affiliate bloggers who like to go their extra mile in their product reviews. If you’d like to view some of wpDataTables use cases and showcases, you can do so here.

Immediately upon installing wpDataTables, they provide tons of great educational resources on how to use their plugin, because at first glance, it doesn’t appear super easy.

wpDataTables also allows you to import data in certain formats like Excel, Google Sheets, JSON, and CSV, and more.

wpDataTables Pricing

wpDataTables offers a Basic, Pro, and Developer version. Depending on how many sites you have, you’ll likely be choosing between the basic or Pro version. Just like other options, pricing structure incentives savings per each additional website.

Table Comparison

It wouldn’t be fitting if we didn’t compare our affiliate comparison tables inside a comparison table, so that’s what we did.

While the look of a table isn’t the only factor, we recommend picking one you and your readers will find nice.

We included and embedded the tables we could get our hands on, but in some cases we weren’t able to build the table due to plugin conflicts or other issues. For these we included screenshots.

What to Include in a Comparison Table

Product Images

Product images help the reader visualize what it is they are potentially buying. The higher quality the photo the better. We also highly reccomend including affiliate links in your images, in order to maximize clicks to affiliate programs.

Pros and Cons

Thoughtful Pros and Cons are a great way to educate a buyer on the most important things to know about a product.

Clear Calls to Action

Obvious calls to action are necessary to get the most out of your affiliate tables. It may not be obvious to your audience that the product images are clickable.

Reasonable Amount of Items

While it may be tempting to include every single product you review in the table, it can be extremely overwhelming. We’d recommend limiting this to 3-5 items max, per table.

Conclusion

WordPress table plugins are key to maximizing your affiliate offer conversion rates. Often time’s they can pay for themselves.

If you’re comfortable with code, or just creating the occasional table, then a lot of these options may not be worth the investment or monthly fee. At the end of the day, they are all compiling into HTML tables anyway.

But if you find yourself constantly putting out new comparisons, and shudder at the idea of writing custom code, one of these WordPress Affiliate Table plugins might just be for you. All plugins mentioned in the post are compatible with the Classic and Gutenberg editors, as they compile into HTML.

If Amazon Associates is your main offer, AAWPAffiliatable, and Lasso, are probably your best options, as they offer some seamless integrations.

If you’re mostly concerned about cost and are just getting started, we highly recommend TablePress due to it being free, open-source, and widely known in the WordPress world.

NinjaTables and WPTable Builder are great options if you want a general WordPress Table plugin that works with any links and offer type.

Lastly, if you’re doing a lot of data visualization, in order to back up your affiliate product review, than look no further than wpDataTables.
