How to Redirect Affiliate Link Landing Pages by Country (Stop Losing International Commissions)

In this guide, I'll demonstrate how using Geniuslink, affiliates can create a single affiliate link that automatically redirects their audience to different landing pages depending on country they are from.

This is an extremely important to do for creators with an international audience that are also part of international affiliate programs like Amazon Associates.

Why This Matters

Let’s take a look at the influencer TheLovinSisters, who has nearly a million followers on Instagram.

Using Modash to pull advanced analytics, we can see that 91% of their audience is based in the United States, but about 9% comes from international locations.

When they share amazon links, they only includea single call-to-action link, that heads to Amazon.com.

Nearly 100,000 of their viewers don't live in the United States, and are unable to purchase from that site.

So that's 10% of their audience that they aren't monetizing at all.

If the same product exists in other countries' Amazon stores like, Amazon.ca, Amazon.co.uk, they need to be linking to that product on that international storefront, through that countries affiliate program.

That is why we are here, and the reason Geniuslink has built a product to solve that issue.

Step-by-Step: How Geniuslink Handles Amazon Redirects

Geniuslink makes it quick and easy to localize your affiliate links.

1. Create Your Geniuslink Account

Start by signing up at this link to get a two-week free trial.

2. Create a New Link

Inside your Genius Link dashboard:

  • Click New
  • Choose Advanced

3. Paste Your Amazon Product URL

Paste the affiliate link where a majority of your traffic will want to go. In the case of TheLovinSisters that’s Amazon.com.

4. Let Geniuslink Do the Work

What’s great about Geniuslink is that for Amazon links, it will automatically crawl the other international Amazon stores to find the same product. It then builds out the geo-routing logic behind the scenes. This feature alone will save you hours of manual work.

What About Non-Amazon Programs?

Amazon is easy because Geniuslink handles international redirects automatically.

But what if you’re promoting programs that don’t have this functionality built in? That’s where Geniuslink custom logic feature comes into play.

Let me show you another non-Amazon example.

Binance Global vs. Binance US

When I was active in the cryptocurrency affiliate space, I was part of both the Binance global affiliate program (binance.com) and the Binance US affiliate program (binance.us). Since my traffic came from all over the world, I needed a way to direct U.S. visitors to Binance US and everyone else to the global site.

Here’s how to do it with Geniuslink:

1.  Create an Advanced Link

Just like with Amazon, go to New > Advanced.

2.  Enter the Default Destination

In this case, I pasted in the global URL: https://binance.com as the base case.

3. Set a Custom Rule

Click Add Rule and use:

  • If: Country/Region = United States
  • Then redirect to: https://binance.us

4. Save the Link

Now, any U.S. visitor who clicks the link will be taken to Binance US, and everyone else will land on Binance Global.

This gives you a seamless way to maximize your commissions and send your audience to the right landing pages.

Final Thoughts

Redirecting international affiliate traffic doesn’t have to be complicated or time-consuming. With Geniuslink, you can create intelligent, country-aware links that automatically send your customers to the correct site. This will ensure you’re earning affiliate commissions in every market you reach.
